To keep album flat (not fanning out at the outer end), cut 1/2 x 5 1/2″ strips from photo scraps. Insert into binding.
Take a picture of a picture with your Smart Phone. Works great!
Add memorabilia, awards, newspaper clippings, stickers, and/or fabrics to pages in your album.
Add stitching to your decorative papers.
