Passover & the Coronavirus

See what Pal & Koala Pete™ are up to today at Pal’s April 2020 calendar.

Dear Koala Pete™,

I’ve been thinking about this Coronavirus quite a bit. I overhear people talking about it all the time. Here’s something for you to think about:

World-wide people are told to stay home–ordered in many cases. Could God, in His mercy, be giving mankind a glimpse into the loneliness He must feel as His creation continues to isolate themselves from Him? Why the order to “Stay home. Save lives.”? Could this man-made law serve another purpose–to return to God’s original building block, the family unit? You know, dear KP, that all of society depends on the family unit.

It just occurred to me that Passover week this year is March 8 to March 16. Passover is a Jewish festival which commemorates the Biblical account in the Book of Exodus where God sent Moses to tell the Pharaoh, “Let my people go.” God sent 10 plagues, yet Pharaoh refused to release the Israelites from Egyptian slavery. That is, until the last plague, the death angel. God ordered the Israelites to cover their doorposts with the blood of a lamb and stay in their homes while the death angel passed over.

This year most people in America will be in their homes during Passover week.

Keep safe and well,
Grandma Ko
