April 2–We’re Going on a Bear Hunt

Have you noticed teddy bears and stuffed animals appearing in windows everywhere? That’s because there’s a bear hunt going on in your neighborhood, your community, and all around the world!

Walks are a lot more fun during Covid-19 social distancing when you can be on the lookout for a teddy bear—or other stuffed animals—in windows, trees, balconies, and even parked cars. Keep watching and you’re sure to hunt them down.

Inspired by the children’s book, “We’re Going on a Bear Hunt” by Michael Rosen, this activity has become an international sensation in communities and social media. It is especially popular in Australia (where our beloved koalas life).

Today’s activity: Find a window or other safe place to put your teddy bear. for anyone who goes on a bear hunt in your neighborhood.
